Mrs. Mary D'arcourt Hahn

Mary D’arcourt Hahn born on February 16, 1918, a native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Metairie, La. passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at the age of 93. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Jacob Nicholas Hahn.

Also preceded in death by her parents, Achilles D’arcourt and Victorine Bouterie D’arcourt and her sister, Rita D’arcourt Espenan and her brother, Milton D’arcourt.

She is survived by three children, Elaine Hahn Hamilton, Nicholas Louis Hahn, Sr., and Mildred Hahn Leingang.

Also survived by her grandchildren, Kathy Hamilton, James Hamilton, Karen Hamilton Passman, Rhonda Hamilton, Rebecca Hamilton Seig, Nicholas Hahn, Jr., Jacob Hahn, Michael Hahn, Glenn Leingang, Amelie Leingang, Heidi Leingang Diamond , 20 great grandchildren and 9 great -great grandchildren. Known to over a hundred children she baby sat as “Maw-Maw Mary”.

A retired employee of The American Can Company. A Devoted wife, a loving mother and loving grandmother to her family. She had an enormous heart for anyone in need. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her and by all those whose lives she touched.
