Marie Martin Laviolette Phillips, 78, was called to her heavenly Father at her home in Metairie on Tuesday, April 1st, 2014 while being surrounded by her loved ones. Marie was born in Napoleonville, LA on May 21st, 1935 and is the last of 11 brothers and sisters. Marie is joining her children: Angie Edralin, Daniel Laviolette, and Penny Laviolette. She survived by her three children: Michael Laviolette, Jerome (Ricky) Laviolette and Paula Matherne. She is also leaving behind her six cherished grand children: Stormy Kuhlman, Joshua Laviolette, Katie Laviolette Landry, Alex Matherne, Emily Laviolette, Nicole Laviolette, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Marie was an incredibly strong woman who loved spending time with her family and friends. She also loved to cook, say her rosary and watch wheel of fortune.
Visitation will be held at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., Metairie, LA on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 from 12:00-2:00pm with a mass to follow.
