Marie Hughes Guillot passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at North Oaks Hospital in Hammond, LA at the age of 90. She was the youngest girl of eight children. She was the owner and operator of Guillot’s Beauty Cottage in New Orleans and was a former member of Sunrisers Carnival Club. She was married for 57 years to the late H.W. Elwood Guillot and had two sons, Elwood J. and Gary A. Guillot. She is survived by her two sons, 3 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. In recent years she has enjoyed playing bingo with her fellow residents at Belle Maison Nursing Home in Hammond. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Friday morning, January 13, 2017 beginning at 9:00 AM with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel.
