Louis Edward Meyer

Louis Edward Meyer was born on December 7, 1934 in New Orleans, LA. He was a resident of Kenner, LA since 1963. Mr. Meyer passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Patricia Schoendorf Meyer for 59 years. Father of the late Timothy Meyer. He was preceded in death by his parents Louis and Irene R. Meyer, his sister Irene Meyer and his brother John J. Meyer, Sr. He is survived by his brother-in-law Eugene Schoendorf, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Mr. Meyer retired from National Canal Villere Food Stores after 42 years as a truck driver. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial gathering at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Saturday morning, October 16, 2021 beginning at 9:00 AM with a Memorial Mass to follow at 11:00 AM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home's chapel.. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers Masses may be offered or memorial contributions may be sent to St. Michael Special School, 1522 Chippewa St., New Orleans, LA 70130 in memory of Timothy Meyer.
