John "Jack" Ryan, Jr.

John "Jack" Ryan, Jr., age 91, passed away peacefully on April, 28, 2021 with his loving family by his side. He was born to the late Frances Kirchgassner Ryan and John J. Ryan, Sr., he is also preceded in death by his son, Steven John Ryan, great-grandchild Mallery, and a brother Paul C. Ryan. He is survived by his children, Susan Ryan Overton, Jeffrey A. Ryan, Robyn Ryan Jarvinen (Jason), Sean J. Ryan, and Erin S. Ryan, grandchildren, Alex, Desiree, Christian, Chandler, Frances and Andrew Jr., great-grandchild, Anya, brother, Arthur F. Ryan along with his nephews, Christopher, Ronald, Nathan, John, Matthew, and his niece Claire.

Jack grew up in Dorchester, Massachusetts and was a graduate of Boston College. He enlisted in the Air Force during the Korean War and was a Staff Sargent and served as a payroll accountant. After his service, he went on to work as a salesman and accountant in various industries. He was a devoted grandfather to his grandkids. A huge jokester, life of the party and loved hamming it up, he made everyone laugh and always made a lasting impression.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home from 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm, the Funeral Mass will begin at 7:00 pm. A graveside service will be held Friday, May 7, 2021 at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 34888 Grantham College Drive, Slidell, Louisiana.
