John Peter Raffo

John "Nonnu" Peter Raffo, age 88, passed away on Friday, September 21, 2012. Beloved husband of the late Margaret Coogan Raffo. Loving father of Kathleen “Mickie” Morris (Steve) and the late Joseph G. Raffo (Debbie). Grandfather of Maggie M. Sunseri (Todd), Katie M. Brandstetter (Michael), Betsy M. Alvarenga, Abby Morris, the late Johnny Pons (Rochelle), Joey Raffo, and the late Justin Raffo. Brother of Josephine Ponteleone and preceded in death by 8 brothers and sisters. Also survived by 12 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A native of San Francisco, CA and a resident of this city for the past 62 years. He was a former community member and employee of Center of Jesus the Lord and a parishioner of Our Lady of Divine Providence. The family would like to acknowledge Notre Dame Hospice and thank them for their care and compassion.

The relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., Metairie on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. Visitation from 10:30 until 1:00 p.m. Interment in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
