John Wilton Nicosia

We are sad to announce the loss of John Wilton Nicosia Sr. who passed on March 2, 2023 at the age of 91. John was a life-long resident of the New Orleans area, growing up in the city and living in Metairie since 1966. John’s death was peaceful and without pain. He follows his oldest son John Jr. to heaven and is survived by John’s wife Marian and their daughters Teressa Elise and Catherine Rose. He is survived by his youngest son David, David’s wife Laura and David’s daughters Ashley Elizabeth and Elise Adriana. John Sr. is predeceased by his father Anthony, mother Mae and David and John Jr.’s mom, Josephine R. Nicosia.

John is a graduate of Warren Easton High School and Loyola University. He loved New Orleans, the Saints, LSU football and especially his beloved family with whom he rejoiced in sharing his life.

He will be deeply, deeply missed.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM on Tuesday March 21, 2023 at Saint Benilde Church, 1901 Division Street, Metairie, LA 70001 followed by a Funeral Mass at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow at the All Saints Mausoleum at Metairie Cemetery.
