Gerald "Jerry" Heintz

On Sunday, August 17, 2014, Gerald F. “Jerry” Heintz lost his battle with cancer after a courageous fight. Jerry was 73 years old and was a native and life-long resident of New Orleans, LA. Beloved husband of Claudette Gildig Heintz for 51 wonderful years. Loving father of Trudi H. Isaacson (Bob), John Heintz (Sheila) and the late Gerald “Jay” Heintz, Jr. Proud Papa of Johnny, Jr., Shelby and Madison Heintz. Son of the late Anthony and Lillian Heintz. Brother of Dolores Heintz Reynolds (late Billy), Jackie Heintz Walter (Martin), Joseph Heintz (Helena), Robert Heintz (Joycelyn), Franklin Heintz (Ethelyn) and James Heintz. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Jerry retired from Doussan/Air Gas after being employed for 40+years. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing with his family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who loved him.

Relatives, friends and employees of Doussan/Airgas and Capital One are invited to attend the visitation at St. Christopher Catholic Church, 309 Manson Ave., Metairie on Friday, August 22, 2014 at 10:30 am.
