Frank “Pop’s” Milazzo, Sr. passed away peacefully on Monday, June 19th, 2017 at his home in Metairie, Louisiana, at the age of 91. Frank was a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and a resident of Metairie, Louisiana for the past 59 years. Frank is the son of the late Dorothy Salsiccia Milazzo and Vincent Milazzo. He is the brother of Sylvester Milazzo (deceased) and Dorothy M. Pechon (Mel). He is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Shirley Williams Milazzo. Frank was an extremely kind and loving man who was proud of and deeply loved his six children, Frank Milazzo, Jr. (Linda), Richard M. Milazzo (Ida), Peggy A. Hughes (Tim), Anne M. Lopinto (Mike), John C. Bono (Kathleen) and Steve J. Bono. He was the loving Grandfather of Mark, Michael, Danny, Frank, Steven, Katie, Laura, Claire, Rebecca, Reagan, Kaitlyn, and Francesca. Great Grandfather to Peyton, Garrett, Ellie, Paige, Wesley, Nathan, Audrey, Collette and Caffery. Frank was also a loving stepfather to Shirley’s family; Raymond Daigle, Cheryl Entwisle, Patricia James (David), Michael Daigle, six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Frank was an Army veteran who served proudly in the Korean War. He worked for and retired from the U. S. Government/Department of the Navy where he was a Data Processing Supervisor for over 30 years. He was a loving and devoted father who spent most of his time coaching at Cleary Playground, going on camping trips with Troop 117 and selling tickets at every Rummel High School sporting event in the late 60’s and early 70’s. He wouldn’t miss any activity his children or grandchildren were involved in! He loved to dance and have fun. For many years, he and Shirley were a common fixture at the dances hosted at the Jefferson Orleans. He also loved to travel. Along with Shirley and his close friends, he visited France, Italy, Mexico and many cities across the USA. He was also a generous man and was able to share his passion for travel by taking his children on trips to France and Italy. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM on June 23, 2017 at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, Metairie, LA 70006.
