Ella Alexandria San Miguel, age 4, passed away peacefully, November 16, 2020, with her loving family by her side. She was the daughter of Slade and Amy San Miguel. Ella is survived by her siblings, Blake, Leah, Evryn, and Adrey. Her grandparents Elizabeth Weeks and Constance San Miguel, aunts and uncles; Joni Rowley (Cliff), Shannon Reynoso (Raul), and Paul Thacker, cousins; Sofia Reynoso, Kamye Devey (Zack), Adam Rowley (Kaylee), Corey Rowley and Spencer Rowley (Haley). She loved coloring, painting, and doing puzzles, and most of all, swimming. She also enjoyed participating in martial arts at Tiger Rock and New State Fitness of Metairie. Her favorite foods to eat were Reese's cups and Andes mints, popcorn, house lo mein noodles, and cheese balls. Her favorite movie was Coraline; she loved to watch it over and over again. She was a prankster and had fun scaring people with her spider. She loved to sing along with songs on the radio or in movies. She would spend hours playing with her hair and anyone else willing to let her brush and fix theirs.
Ella was full of life; she was a happy spirit; she filled those that she was around with love and joy. She touched many hearts and inspired all those that were around her. Ella had remarkable people following her on social media from all over the world. They shared her journey through the Facebook page Princess Ella's Miracle - DIPG. They provided many blessings that created opportunities for Ella and her family throughout the journey. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
We would especially like to extend our thanks to the Bravo Team's medical staff at the University of Florida. The medical staff at Children's Hospital of New Orleans and Heart of Hospice Homecare. One last thank you to all of her father's coworkers, who supported the family.
