David Phillip Daroca, Sr., left his earthly bonds on Thursday, January 27th, 2022, at the age of 81, called home to be with his predeceased wife, Roseann, his parents Albert and Ilvia Irene (Dolly) Daroca, sister Mary Ann Robinette, and brother Allen Daroca. He is survived by his children Robin McCool (Jim), Ronda Gattis (Richard), Raylyn Dufrene (Terry), and David Daroca, Jr. (Brenda), grandchildren, Christopher (Joann), Richard, Jr., Jeffrey (Ekaterina), Thomas, Katelyn (Nick), Brandon (Alexis), Aaron, Phillip, and Steven, great-grandchildren, Victoria, Alexander, and Juliana.
A native of New Orleans, and resident of Laplace, he spent the majority of his employed life in public and private transportation. David enjoyed many things while in this world, bowling, Saints football, professional wrestling, and his very, very favorite thing to do, eating. Rosie and David are together again as they have been since 1958.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend funeral services on February 3rd, at Leitz Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd, Metairie, Louisiana. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 pm. Interment will immediately follow at St. Roch cemetery No. 2. 1725 Music St., New Orleans, Louisiana.
