Claire was a trendsetter in Women in Business over 20 years and has left a legacy of beauty in her daughters. In 1972 she opened her own hair salon “Salon de Lorino” and in 1975 “Kontinental Kutups” was established. Her faithful employees, friends and beauty colleagues will always remember Claire’s generous heart and encouraging sayings like, “You’re beautiful when you smile” and “Plan your work and work to plan”. You can view all her honeyisms on H20 Salon and Spa Facebook page.
Claire has overcome all the obstacles of Alzheimer’s disease and her family has joined this fight with her to end Alzheimer’s. For the last 3 years, her family has raised over $100,000 because they know, their mom would want to help or assist anyone from getting this disease. Claire had a heart as big as the world and a smile that brightened every room and lightened every load. At the end of her life our mother who was the strongest and most independent lady we know, rested in style and fully trusted us to be by her side as she entered her eternal home.
We want to give a special thanks to our amazing and caring team of angels, Stacey Johnson, Theresa Gaines, Jackie Smith, and Momma Ruby for all the love and dignity they showed our mom. We would also like to thank Canon Hospice, especially Nurse Shannon.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association “Team Honey Bunch” 3445 N. Causeway Blvd, Suite 902, Metairie, LA 70002.
