Arthur Quentin Davis, age 91 years, died on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at 11:55 PM. Beloved husband of Mary Wineman Davis. Father of Arthur “Quint” Davis, Jr., Pam Davis Friedler and the late James Matthew Davis. Father-in-law of Jill L. Davis Botnick and Michael Botnick; grandfather of Elizabeth Ashley Davis Sheen (Mathew), Matthew Quentin Davis, Christopher James Davis, Abby Katherine Botnick and Molly B. Botnick. Step grandfather of Tripp Friedler (Heidi), Carey Friedler Chipps (Ted) and Milton Trost Friedler.

The family gratefully acknowledges the loving care given by Vanessa Booker, Curtis Brazile, James Hudson, Madison Price, Desiree Butler and Gloria Gray.

A Memorial will take place at the New Orleans Museum of Art, 1 Collin Diboll Circle, New Orleans, LA on Monday, December 5, 2011 at 4:00 PM followed by a reception. A private family burial was held. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his memory to the National World War II Museum, 945 Magazine St., New Orleans, LA 70130, New Orleans Museum of Art, Tulane University School of Architecture, 6823 St. Charles Ave., New Orleans, LA 70118 or the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation for the Norman Dixon Fund, 1225 N.
