Anna Mascari Rooney

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard W. Rooney, her sons, Robert Rooney and James Rooney, and her parents, Frank and Margarite Mascari.

She is survived by her children, David Rooney, Mike Rooney (Pam), and Gayle Poulin (Eddy), grandchildren, Chris Rooney (Cindy), Kelly Kinchen (James), Stephen Rooney (Mary), Lauren Rooney, Allura Cayes (Ben), and Brandon Poulin (Rosie), and great-grandchildren, Easton Rooney, Kaitlyn Rooney, Liora Cayes, Leo Cayes, and Sylvi Poulin.

Anna had a vibrant social life and loved to spend time with her family and friends. She never met a stranger and was always there for those in need. She enjoyed working as a dental assistant for Dr. Guy Murphy for many years. Mardi Gras was her favorite time of year and she loved dancing. She will be missed by all who were blessed to know her.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd. Metairie, LA. Visitation will be held from 11AM – 1PM with a memorial Mass to begin at 1PM.
