Agnes was a devout Catholic and former Parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi, St. Robert Bellarmine, and Divine Mercy Catholic Churches. She was a recipient of the Order of St. Louis in 1981.
Born on the Feast of the Epiphany in Vacherie, LA, she then moved as a child with her family to Uptown New Orleans. It was there that she met Fred & they later married in 1954. After a few years they moved to Arabi, LA, where they reared their 9 children & where she considered home until 2005. Her remaining years were spent in Kenner, LA, but she will return to St. Bernard Parish to be laid to rest with Fred, who earned his Heavenly reward in 2002.
The lights of her life were her 14 Grandchildren & 14 Great-Grandchildren. While she was teased for watching too much of the Hallmark Channel, she never turned it on until after watching & praying the daily Rosary & Mass on EWTN. Like most New Orleanians she was a loyal Saints fan, unless they played against her #1 quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Her life was one of simplicity & virtue.
Funeral Mass to take place January 31, 2023 at St. Philip Neri Church, 6500 Kawanee Ave, Metairie, LA. Visitation beginning at 10:00 am until Mass time at 1:00 pm. Burial will take place in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens following Mass.
In lieu of flowers, Masses preferred.
