Born on March 27, 1944 in Dallas, Texas and went home to meet the Lord on December 16, 2020 in Irving, Texas at the age of 76. She is preceded in death by her husband Gene Green, son-in-law Russ Wimberly, and her parents Barney and Ida Lee Godfrey. Sue is survived by her daughter Sherry Vega and husband Ivan, 2 granddaughters Beth Wimberly and Marri Vega and 1 great grandson Rusty Steadman.
When Sue was growing up in Marietta, Oklahoma she was very active in her School, Church and on her daddy's farm. When she moved to Dallas, Texas she met the love of her life Gene Green on a blind date and married him shortly after that and they were married for 42 years until he passed away in 2006. She never meet a stranger and loved every fur baby around, secretly known in the family as the Crazy Cat Lady. Sue was a journeyman electrician, craftsman of woodworking and loved to cook for her family and friends. Her family and friends affectionally called her " Aunt Ganny Sue GG" and she will live forever in our hearts.
Family will receive friends from 11-12 on Monday December 28, 2020 and the Service will begin at 12 noon in the Funeral Home Chapel. Sue will be laid to rest at Grove Hill Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas where her final resting place will be beside her husband Gene Green.
