Etta Mae Yarbrough Booher passed away on May 6th, 2024, in Dallas Texas. Etta was born on November 21st, 1932, to Danel Jelson Yarborough and Millie Viola Atchley in Dallas, Texas. Preceded in death by her parents Daniel and Millie Yarborough, Sisters; Pauline Pallett, Mildred Monico, Christine Malone, Mickey Edwards, Pasty Daniels, Nancy Yarborough; brothers Clemeth Yarborough, and Curtis Yarborough; Husband, Bob Booher, and Daughter, Carolyn Davidson.
She is survived by her son, Chuck Taylor Jr, Daughter-in-law, Kathy Taylor, and Grandchildren: Ryan Taylor, Collin Taylor, Jennifer Christopher, Richard Burns, and great-grandson Clayton Christopher. A very Special Sister, Maxine Adams, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Etta was born in Dallas during the Great Depression. Tough times tested the strength of her family but helped shape her character of self-sacrifice and putting others first. She is a true example of the Greatest Generation with a legacy of hard work, family, and most importantly her reliance upon her Savior.
Her employment outside the home was primarily in the automobile industry as a bookkeeper and office manager. She participated in Forest Avenue High School sports and was a faithful follower of the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers.
Her most important mission in life was her family. She loved them unconditionally while always encouraging them to do their absolute best. Her love and presence are irreplaceable, and we will all miss her greatly.
A visitation for Etta will be held Friday, May 10, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Anderson Clayton Gonzalez Funeral Home, 1111 Military Parkway, Mesquite, Texas 75149. A funeral service will occur Saturday, May 11, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 1111 Military Parkway, Mesquite, Texas 75149. A committal service will occur Saturday, May 11, 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Grove Hill Memorial Park, 3920 Samuell Blvd., Dallas, Texas 75228.
