She was the oldest girl of 11 children born to Farris and Dorothy Lee Patton.
Dorothy attended Morton High School, and later continued her education to receive her high school diploma in 2013. She became a Licensed Minister in 1992 in Tyler Texas. She attended Southern Bible Institute in 1993 and was ordained as a Pastor in 1995.
As pastor, she continued tirelessly to serve her congregation at the Apostolic Spirit Filled Church until her heavenly transition. Dorothy had a beautiful heart to serve God’s people and she was a prayer warrior.
She enjoyed cooking, sharing new recipes and family time.
She leaves to cherish her memories: husband, Ralph Whitfield, her sweetheart of 34 years. Her only child and beloved son, Nathaniel “Nathan” Pritchett.
Five Grandchildren: DeShun, Chastity, Taija, Tania and Tamara.
Three Great-grandchildren: Jayla, Jaslyn and Ammara.

She was proceeded in death by parents: Farris and Dorothy Lee Patton; brothers, Bobby Ray Patton, Roy Glen Patton, and sister SheryLnn Lynette Patton.
