Billye Louise Fritz was born on July 28, 1926, in Dallas, Texas. She was the only child of John William Fritz & Dorothy Haskins Fritz. She grew up in Dallas, raised by her father Captain “Will” Fritz, of the Dallas Police Department. She loved to ride horses and raising numerous animals. She attended Woodrow Wilson High School, Class’ 1943. After high school she attended Texas Women’s University for a short time. Soon after, she married Ramon Daniel Mallow and they were married over 23 years. She and Ramon had four children; Danny, Faye, Steve & Mollye. She adored her children and enjoyed being a Bible Class Teacher, Scout Leader and school Room Mother for them during their adolescent years. She had one of the hardest jobs a woman could have, being a homemaker and mother of four. In 1973, she married Irvin Maurice Honeycutt, they were married over 20 years as well, until the Lord called for him. Billye was a very active woman. Not only did she crochet, play piano, sew, quilt, embroider, garden and dance, but she’d catch her favorite television shows, “In the Heat of the Night” and “Dancing with the Stars” when she could. In 2006, she married James G. Hamilton and loved and cared for him until he passed in 2011. She enjoyed entertaining relatives and friends, and attending social activities. Billye was also involved in several organizations; Eastern Star, BPOE#71, and her favorite, Red Hat Society. She was a member of the Dallas County Democratic Party and volunteered her time for many elections in various precincts. She also attended and was a member of the East Ridge Park Christian Church.
Billye loved her children unconditionally. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the apples of her eyes. She was caring and generous and loved to help others. She loved having bright colors around her to lift her spirit. This was our Billye.
