Teresa Rodriguez

Teresa was born on June 17, 1939 in Pachuca, Hidalgo, Mexico to Fausta Paz Tavera and Rafael Gonzalez Vargas.

She came to Stamford, CT with her husband, J.L. Francisco Rodriguez soon after they married, in May 11th 1968. Teresa worked in payroll in a pharmaceutical company in Mexico, and in the hospitality industry in the U.S., working at Marriott Hotel-Stamford for over 25 years. Teresa and her husband lived a humble, but very happy life in CT before retiring and moving to Mesa in May 2010.

Teresa enjoyed reading and dining out throughout her life. She enjoyed a good game of Bingo, Lotteria, or Blackjack with the family. She was all about purple, loved everything about cats, and always shopped a good deal. Most of all, she was happiest sharing and being with her family. Whether it was cooking, hosting, caretaking, she was a selfless, loving, central figure of the Rodriguez Family.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, JL Francisco Rodriguez; Brothers and Sisters, Ana Maria Gonzalez Paz, Rafael Gonzalez, Guadalupe Gonzales of Pachuca, Mexico, Daughter and son-in-law, Liliana and Juan Carlos Vargas of Mesa AZ; Son and daughter in law, Francisco and Claudia Rodriguez of Stamford CT; Grandchildren, Sebastian and Alexander Vargas. Also surviving are the many extended relatives, nieces, and nephews from CT and Mexico. She is preceded in death by her sister Marta Gonzalez of Mexico.

Services will be held on Saturday May 11, 2013 at the Chapel of the Mariposa Gardens Funeral Home with Deacon Ignacio officiating. Viewing will begin at 9:00am. The ceremony will be at 10:00am.
