This isn’t much of condescend because it’s not favorable to this person. He was a bully when I was is high school and there were a very large group of us.  This person became the principal of the grade school my boys went to, his nasty habit fallowed to the school. He harassed my boys and others that were not in sports while sticking up for the boys who were in sports, these kids could do no wrong. Their parents were not held responsible for what their child did to others. He made fun of my exhusband when he was a Sr in high school at Morenci because my exhusband had “Cushing Disease”. Told him he needed to push himself away from the supper table and called him the “Pillsbury Dough Boy”! So you see, I have nothing nice to say about this person!!!

Our deepest condolences to you and your family for your loss.  Sending healing prayers and comfort during this tough time.  It's hard to put into words the positive impact Coach Hudgens had on me, and the influence and example he had on his players; he nurtured a confidence and belief that brought out the best in us.  He coached with a process and consistency, and once he had buy-in , he expected commitment, dedication, respect, hard work, and teamwork, just to name a few.  Coach Hudgens reached and touched many lives, as I know he did mine, and I'll always be forever grateful.  Coach will be forever missed, but never forgotten.  May you rest in peace, Coach. So sad to hear about Coach Hudgens, he taught us a lot about basketball, but most of all, about life.  He was a great mentor to me as well as a great friend to me and my family.  I am so grateful to have played for him.

My deepest condolences to the family.

Coach Hudgens was a man of his word, when I was in eighth grade.  Hudgens came to our practice and told us that he would take us to state when we were seniors, he did. We went undefeated and won the state championship  1973.  One of his quotes I’ll never forget  “ We might lose,but we will run them to death” 
Rest in peace.

Mr. Hudgens was a great principal. He will always be remembered.  My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

My condolences to Mr.Hudgens family,  he was a great coach and principal to us students here at Clifton Schools. Thank you for impact you gave us to  believe in our selves and to be our best here in small town Clifton,Arizona.   TROJANS!

My most sincere condolences to his girls, grandchildren, brother and family.  My dad introduced me to the man who I never could prove, left the heaters on in the gym as a tactic so that the visiting teams would have to suffer through playing a game under those conditions.  I once heard he trained his team to not only adjust to the heat but to be successful...Little did he know that we girls who played before the guys also had a 4th quarter to suffer through it. I absolutely loved and admired his dedication and unwavering passion to teach and mentor kids. He has been missed and will always be a treasure here in Morenci and Clifton AZ. May you rest in peace! Prayers to his loved ones.

I so remember “Coach Hudgens” from the 70s at Morenci High School.  He was a legend, and a force to be reconned with when it came to “his” basketball and “his” basketball court! He was instrumental in filling us with so many great memories.  I once took a school ministry team to a school he was at and he let me know in no uncertain terms that I had better not damage “his” court!  But he was also very kind and laughed with me too.  Thanks “coach” for all the memories.  My condolences to all the family and friends who will miss him.  He will not be forgotten by any of us who had the privilege of knowing him.

When Hudge was coaching at Morenci, the gym was packed.  Many people couldn’t find a seat. It was standing room only.  I’ve never seen anything like it.  He was a great coach.
