He was born in Chelsea, Massachusetts on February 19, 1939, to the late Michael and Julia (Gallant) Foley. He graduated from Revere High School in 1957, served two years in the Army stationed in Germany, after which he continued his education at Northeastern University in Boston obtaining a BS in Law Enforcement in 1976. Bob was a Revere Police Office, and Massachusetts Capitol Officer, and retired to Tempe, Arizona in 1987.
Bob is survived by his wife Carolyn Johannsen. He was the brother of the late James Foley and wife Dorothy, the late John Foley and wife Flora, the late William Foley and surviving wife Mary, the late Mary Roche and husband Joseph, the late Dorothy Young and husband Thomas, and the late Mildred Coffin and husband Roy. He was predeceased by his wife Carol Fate, surviving children Julie Richardson, Carolyn Foster, and Robert Fate.
Bob is also survived by his previous wife Elaine Domenico and their children; Robert John Foley and his wife Dawn, Michelle Foley-Bellamy and her husband Bernard, Brian Foley, and their children Ryan, Annie, Robbie, Kayla, and Kiara. He will also be missed by his cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Services will be held in April and donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley or a charity of our choice.
