In our golf group Rick was my favorite person to get teamed with….a great guy, a beautiful golfer and a great teacher of the game.  Rarely do I play a round of golf without thinking of him a some point!

Rick was a really neat guy, a fabulous golfer and a good friend.  His name always comes up when our Tuesday group is playing at Raven.  As friends and fellow golfers, we miss him a lot.

I worked for Rick at Calcomp where he started a group to develop pen based computing in the 90's before the massive PC consolidation. We were way ahead of our time. Rick taught me the game of golf and witnessed my only hole-in-one. I remember his smooth radio type voice and laugh. We both chose real estate as our next career after technology.  I just found his card, as I am cleaning out an old purse, decided to give an old friend a call, to discover his obituary. Rick was a great human being and definitely made an impact in my life. Rest in peace.

Farewell my Good and Loyal Friend......

It was some time in the mid-ninties that I met Rick. We met on the golf course ...what a surprise (insert Rick's  laugh)  We were playing in a real estate golf  scramble at Dobson Ranch Meeting.   We were on the same team sponsored by some mortgage company. It was free,  so naturally we both were all in. We hit it off right away as we had lots in common. We both really liked golf and both of us had a competitive spirit. It helped we were above average golfers...he much more than me.  This friendship took us on many golf outings all around Arizona.. He especially enjoyed our annual trek to Wickenburg with our golf group and our 3  days of golf, dinners and more than a few beers. It was non-stop fun and laughter. Man, will we miss his stories, infectious laugh and his willingness to help out anyone struggling with their golf game. 

We both were avid ASU fans and Rick throughly enjoyed our bantering  whether we were praising or bashing our favorite Sundevil team. Go Devils!!!
Our road trips out to California to cheer the Devils was a real highlight, especially the trip in his RV.   Watching him maneuver that RV through narrow streets of downtown Santa Monica was a real treat.

Rick was a great friend to many and accepted everyone no matter their views on life matters. He truly was a great example God's command to 
"love your neighbor as yourself".  We all will miss Rick greatly but  all are better people to have met and known him no matter for how long. Hopefully that can be said when our time has come to leave this life. So long good and loyal friend.  Thanks for the memories.

Rick, I was there when you were born at Ft. Knox. Your repayment was to pee on me when I came to see you a few weeks later when your Mom and Grandma Sheer were living above Elliott’s grocery store in Jeffersonville. You were having a bath and I got a little too close. Last time that we saw you was when you were making business trips and were able to swing by for a brief visit with Nana at our house in the country. Rest In Peace Rick.

Rick was a great friend to all of us at Talking Stick Golf Resort. Always with a hearty laugh; never a bad word from him.  We will miss him. God Bless.
