Ray Glenn Smith, 91, of Mesa Arizona peacefully passed away November 15, 2019. Ray was born April 29th 1928 in Pueblo, CO to Joseph Gilbert and Helen Smith. His family relocated to Salt Lake City, Utah where he graduated from East High School. Ray spent most of his extra time on his boat in Lake Powell and later would enjoy quiet evenings on the deck of the cabin he and his brother built in Bear Lake, Idaho. Ray was a dedicated sports watcher, he was always knowledgeable of who scored what, who fouled out or what team was on top. Ray owned and operated three Chevron service stations before he retired and moved to Arizona with his beloved wife Barbara Jean Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents and his best friend and devoted wife of 50 years, Barbara Smith. Ray is survived by his brother, Jack (Donna) Smith; his son, Larry (Susan) Smith; daughter, Randi Rich; Brother in law, Howard (Benita) Mitchell; grandchildren, Jeremy Rich, Jessi Rich, Jana Rich, Jonathan Rich, Field Smith and Aubri Smith-Lazenby and nine great grandchildren.
