Randall Jay Roth

Randall Jay Roth was born on October 5, 1971 to Jay and Cheryl Roth in Waukegan, Illinois. He was baptized on October 17, 1971, and became a child of God. He was educated in Lutheran Schools in Wisconsin, often having his father as a teacher. He was confirmed in April 1986 in Minocqua, Wisconsin. Randy graduated from Martin Lutheran Prep School in May of 1990. He attended college and had various jobs including owning Gilligan’s Bar and Grill in Waterville, Minnesota from 1997 to 2001. In 2003 he moved to Phoenix, Arizona, which proved to be life-changing. He married Estreia McHaney on March 18, 2006. God blessed their marriage with two wonderful children: Talin, age 7 and Nevaeh, age 3. They all survive him and will miss him enormously. In 2009 Randy began working for Papa John’s, moving up quickly in the company. His final position was as Franchise Business Director for California and Hawaii. He was passionate about his job and expected to spend the rest of his life working for the company. God had other plans for Randy and called him home on August 24, 2016. Randy is also survived by his mother, Cheryl Roth; sisters Rachel (Jon) Erkkila and Tara Roth; niece, Lily Erkkila and nephew, Dashiel Erkkila and grandmother, Margaret Jaeger. Words cannot express how much he will be missed by his family, friends and coworkers. A funeral will be held at 2:00pm with a visitation 1 hour prior at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 3257 E. University Dr, Mesa, Arizona. Interment will follow at San Tan Memorial Gardens in Queen Creek, Arizona.
