Nieves Morales Madrid, beloved wife of Sylvester Madrid, peacefully passed away at age 99 on February 27, 2020, in Mesa, Arizona. Nieves was born July 25, 1920, in Guanajuato, Mexico, migrated to Chicago where she lived for many years until she made Mesa, Arizona her home. She will be remembered as a religious, loving, generous person who loved life, her family, cooking, sewing, and gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband Sylvester, son Michael, parents Juan and Luisa Morales, six brothers Celso, Simon, Valentin, Ladislao, Gregorio and Salome. She is survived by her sister Cirila (Alcadio); daughter Carmen (John); five sons Susano (Audrey); Robert (Beverly); John (Joyce); Richard and Mark; and grandchildren Teressa (Jeremy), Michael and Andrew. A celebration of her life will take place this summer.
