Nansi H. (Tomlinson) Conrad was born in Prescott, AZ to Edward and Roma Tomlinson September 29, 1921. She was the fourth child born into this pioneering family. She grew up in Venezia, a mining community southeast of Prescott, and had many fond memories of her childhood in the Crown King area.
Nansi loved Arizona and was a longtime volunteer at the Payson hospital. She was true to her Christian faith and very generous to children’s charities. She was active in the Eastern Star and served a term as Worthy Matron in the Payson Ponderosa Chapter #64. She and her husband George enjoyed square dancing with the Zane Grey Twirlers. She was skilled at all types of needlework and making ceramics, and loved collecting anything with her favorite animal, the Gamble’s quail.
She passed away in Mesa on September 26, 2022 with her family by her side. She was preceded on her path to heaven by her beloved husband of 56 years, George S. Conrad, Jr., her brother Joseph, sisters Patricia and Marjorie, and her daughter Carol Ann Meddock. She leaves behind her daughter Susan Marquardt (Mitch), and sons William (Boni) and Robert (Marianne) Meddock and their families.
