I remember you like a sparkle of hope. I can see you, hear your voice and that bass, guitar and drums you would always be keener than me to play . The funny antics we got in with james at wamatochick. The long drives we took, the destiny you help we with to find my daughter.  I had a vision of you a few weeks ago.  I miss you man. Can't wait to see you one day. I got some new songs for you to play:)

When my brother and I were little our closets were connected with the same wall. We would plan out how we wanted to put a door in our closets so our parents wouldn't know we had a secret door. This way when we were in trouble we would still have each other to play with by traveling through our secret door. Even back then it didn't matter if we had our favorite toy or not as long as we had each other. Right now, I wish I had that secret door to go see him. I miss you, Mikey.

Dear Michael,
When I saw you at the bookstore a few weeks ago I was thrilled to run into by happenstance. Now I am
most grateful for that short, final moment we had together.
Michael and I met on our high school schoolbus. We sat side by side for three years. Even at that age, Michael sported an intense curiosity for life. He hated ignorance. He shared his knowledge and opinions and love with everyone he met.
Such intellect. And gull. In the kingdom of my life, he was the great Joan of Snark. 
Michael loved the band Struggle, so much so that he bought their record for me so I could love them too. Michael, I still have it and will cherish it forever. Whenever I want to visit you, I will put it on my record player, and I'll turn it up real high, so you can hear it too.

What an amazing young man...the impact you made in this world will not be forgotten.

I first met Mike at Hendrix Jr. High & he was very nice & kind & didn't say much but when we would talk it was always a nice conversation. And he gave great hugs! I'll miss his smile & laid back personality. The last time I saw him we had a great time hanging out. I will never forget him. Love and miss you lots Mike! I'll see you again one day my friend.

I loved Mike the first time I met him when I was 13. He was the first boy I ever kissed. Him and I shared so many adventures. We laughed,  cried,  loved. The last time I talked to him,  a few weeks ago,  we shared how much of an impact we had on each others lives. Mike was special in a way that no one else was.

“Little Jessi” and Michael were the first friends my daughter had when we moved to Arizona.  To this day a picture of the three of them in a Mulberry tree in the backyard is on my desk at home.  As they grew up we did not keep in touch. We moved, they grew into their lives and life went on.  Life ended this week for Michael, at first I was stupefied excuse me? What?   No…  And then as the day progressed all I could think about was how many wonderful memories this family created with mine.  Did he know how much joy he helped create in our messed up world.  This is my first loss of what I would have called at the time one of my kids, and all I can think to say is thank you for the time, the love, and the joy you shared with my Jess, you were an amazing part of our lives.  Rest peacefully in God's hands now and watch over us as we share our memories.  Sara & Jessica
