Jack as everyone called him, was born on 07/17/1933 in Lander Wyoming to Melvin T. and Cora V. Hallam.
He married his High School Sweetheart, Janet Jones on April 21st, 1950, and would have been married 71 years in April.
Jack played High School basketball and football, and was a standout football player. He was past President of the One Shot Antelope Hunt in Lander, and hosted many celebrities that came to town for the event. He had a great love for the outdoors, and loved to fish, hunt and go camping.
Jack operated a car dealership in Lander, called Hallam Inc. with his Father Mel and Brother Bill, until the early 1970’s when he moved his family to Arizona.
He worked in the auto industry with Bud Beck Pontiac and Brooks Cadillac before getting his Real Estate License. He went on to sell homes for Knoell Homes and Gosnell Development at the Point in Phoenix.
Jack’s biggest love was his family. He loved seeing all of his family and lit up when the grandkids came to visit. He is survived by his wife Janet, five children Steve (Donna), Jack Jr (Jeanine Gomez Byl), Gary (Brenda), Vicki (Greg), and Christi (Brian). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and 38 great grandchildren, his Brother Charles Hallam (Karon), brother in law, Ronald Jones (Sharyn) and four nieces and four nephews.
Jack is predeceased by his parents Melvin T. Hallam and Cora V. Hallam, and his brother Bill Hallam and sister in-law, Patricia Hallam.
Services will be 02/17/2021 with visitation at 8:30am and funeral services at 9:00am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 3344 E. McDowell Rd., Mesa, AZ 85213.
Burial will follow at 11:00am at Green Acres Cemetery, 401 N. Hayden Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85257.
