Madeline Ferne Cozart

We are so sad to share the news about the passing of Ferne Cozart. She passed peacefully in her sleep while visiting their vacation home in Arizona on Monday, January 30, 2024 at the age of 83. Madeline Ferne Fellowes was born September 3, 1940 in Winnipeg, Manitoba to John and Emma Fellowes. Ferne met and married the love of her life, Arnold Cozart and they had two sons. Ferne loved spending time at the cabin at the lake and their vacation home in Arizona where they happily spent their retirement winters awaiting family and friends to visit. Ferne was a very social person and was so happy when anyone wanted to play a game of cards or yahtzee- but be ready for some ruthless playing! She loved to travel, golf, bowl and ski when she was able. Ferne was thrilled when her grandchildren, McKayla and Ethan, were born and was a wonderful grandma to them both. Ferne was predeceased by her mom and dad, son Derrin, brother John and sister Evelyn. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years Arnold, son Randy (Michele) and grandchildren, McKayla (Barrett) and Ethan (Shay), and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, please take your loved ones out for a nice meal and enjoy your family time, which was one of Ferne’s favorite things to do. A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
