Kenneth Ray Hill

Ken passed away March 31, 2019 in Mesa, AZ, age 86. Born April 17, 1932, Tremonton, UT to Joseph Orla and Mamie Harriet Woodruff Hill. Graduated OSC 1954, received a Masters from USU. Commissioned USAF OSI officer, honorably discharged as Captain. Served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Norway. Married Beverly June Bouwhuis June 4,1964, LA Temple. First bishop of Tonopah, Nevada Ward. Moved to Las Vegas after retirement as Nye and Esmeralda Counties Extension Agent for UNR. Served in the Las Vegas Temple. Predeceased by parents, brothers Clinton (Nina), Wendell (Mary Ellen), Ralph and James, sister Dorothy (Ray) Wendel (John) Denton, and brother-in-law William Jones. Survived by wife, brother Burton (Ileen), daughters Laura (Patrick) Allen, Nancilyn Hill, and Kenna (Russell) Baker, sons David (Michelle) and Robert (Lori), sisters-in-law Miriam, Marie, and Barbara, 19 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral April 16 at the Cornerstone Ward, Mesa, and buried at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, Phoenix.
