Justin Richard Litten, 21, of Gilbert, Arizona passed suddenly on August 4, 2015 in Phoenix, Arizona. Justin was born on September 30, 1993 in Mesa, Arizona to Elizabeth (Sadler) Schiller and Pete Litten. He attended various Gilbert Public Schools and graduated in 2012 from Highland High School. In his early adolescence, you could always find Justin in a paintball arena or on a skateboard. He loved riding through his neighborhood and socializing with his friends. From Junior High school and beyond, Justin participated in a variety of sports while displaying an exceptional talent in baseball. It quickly turned into a family sporting event—they took great pride in watching their #11 play the game he loved. Nearing the end of his time in high school, Justin discovered he had another talent… welding. It’s been said that anyone can learn to weld but, there are a few that have a natural talent for it. Justin was the exception, he was precise, detail oriented, meticulous… just plain good. And, those around him knew it too. He was praised by fellow students, instructors and employers seeking to hire him. Always respectful and a gentleman, Justin could put a smile on any face. He had the ability to bring laughter to any situation and often looked for such an opportunity… from his family, to friends and even sometimes to the dismay of his teachers during class! Justin could have you laughing in a very short time. A kind, gentle, and compassionate person with the courage to always speak the truth—it’s what so many admired and loved about Justin.
He grew into a handsome, very tall, young man who was impassioned by any adventure that came his way. Traveling, visiting the beach, and snowmobile riding up north. He had an unbreakable bond with his sister Ashley. They were truly connected siblings who shared everything in life together. From childhood into young adulthood, they were collaborators and co-conspirators. They could be playmates, tormentors, protectors, and objects of each other’s pride. They simply loved one another unconditionally. He was proceeded in death by his grandfather James Sadler, Sr., grandmother Joan Litten, grandfather Peter Litten, Sr. and step grandfather Charles Cousineau. Justin is survived by his mother, Elizabeth, father Pete, stepfather Jeff Schiller, sister Ashley (Litten) Sotelo, brother-in-law Ryan Sotelo and stepsister Kaylee Schiller. And, Niece Kinsley Sotelo was a recent welcomed addition to the family - she melted Justin’s heart each time they were together. As well as, grandmother, Mona Sadler, uncles Jim Sadler (Stephanie & family), Joe Bachelor (Renee & family), Steve Bachelor (& family), John Litten (& family), Tim Litten (Kelly & family), Larry Litten (Helen & family), Dan Litten (Robin & family), along with several cousins, and many close friends. It is with broken hearts we say goodbye to the one who had the biggest, warmest, most caring heart of all, Justin.
