June was born July 23, 1922 to Joseph and Emma Kohler in Detroit Lakes, MN. She graduated from Detroit Lakes High School Class of 1941. After which she attended business college.
In 1953 she married her love, Nyle Wisted, also of Detroit Lakes and they moved to Rochester, MN. She worked part time in a children's store and was President of the Jaycees. Plagued with crippling arthritis in 1960 the family moved to Scottsdale, AZ. In the dry climate, June went on to live 62 active years. She was Arizona Epsilon Sigma Alpha Women of the year in 1967. A long time Stagebell for the Stage Brush Theater in Scottsdale. She donated time and lots of energy to the Arizona Foundation for the Blind and the Make a Wish Foundation.
Next to family one of her greatest passions was playing Bridge. An accomplished player she played three to four times a week up until she was 98. At her summer home in Pinetop, AZ she established the Pinetop Women's Club spending hours on the phone getting over 100 ladies together for lunch and Bridge monthly. If you knew June you probably have a set of embroidered dish towels as her hands were never idle. To the very end she was a woman of perpetual motion. Her love and service to family and friends will be deeply missed.
Always active in her church, God's gain is our greatest loss.
June was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Michael, two brothers and great-grandson Brett.
She is survived by her son Greg (Alexis), grandchildren: Heather (Guy), Nyle (Megan), Melissa (Greg), and Samantha (Jeremy), as well as 8 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. At a later date, June will be interred in Detroit Lakes along with her husband, Nyle.
