Born November 1, 1943 Josie was predeceased by her parents Pete and Adelina Sano, husband Ernaldo Candelaria, grandson Paul Martinez, brothers Pete, Ernest, and Frank Sano.
A lifelong Arizona native Josie was well-known and well-loved in south Phoenix. Josie was a true matriarch as a loving mother to five children, Diego, Marcia, Rebecca, Christine and Denise. She had 14 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with her sisters Annie, Frances, Mary and her brother Tony along with many beloved nephews and nieces. Despite having such a large family she made everyone feel special and loved.
Josie’s hobbies included playing card games, listening to her favorite music, watching classic tv shows, cooking, and rooting for Arizona sports teams. Although respected by her coworkers, Josie’s 30 year tenure with Revlon came secondary to spending time with her family.
Her contagious laugh and fun loving spirit will be truly missed and her memory will forever live on in our hearts.
The family wishes to extend a sincere thanks to United Hospice and Palliative Care of Arizona.
A celebration of life for Josie will be held Friday, February 11, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Lakeshore Mortuary, 1815 South Dobson Road, Mesa, AZ 85202.
