His 2 older brothers William Fields & George Fields and his only sister Kathy Brackett. Shortly after Joseph was born his family would move to Torrance, California where he would meet the love of his life and his future wife Teresa Martinez-Fields in 1976 at Stephen M White Junior High.
Joseph leaves behind his wife Teresa Martinez-Fields and his youngest daughter Anne Lagemann as well as his only son Joshua Fields and his 6 grandkids Alejandro Fields, Jasmine Geiger, Anthony Geiger, Markus Lagemann, Molly Lagemann and Maya Lagemann and joins his oldest daughter Valerie Fields.
Joseph had a passion for working on cars as well as for finding things in the most random of places, even pulling over in the dead of night to grab a $20 bill he saw rolling down the side of the street. He loved taking his son to all of his Special Olympics events as well as supporting him throughout all of his competitions. His friends and family could always count on him to lend a helping hand as well as fix their car whether it was at work or in his garage at home.
Joseph was a loving father and friend to all that knew him and will be dearly missed.
A celebration of life for Joseph will be held Friday, April 12, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Advantage Melcher Chapel of the Roses, 43 South Stapley Drive, Mesa, AZ 85204.
