Jon C Ferguson was born November 15, 1960 in Albany, NY to parents Barbara (Swint) and Jon (Ferguson). Jon was a native to upstate NY until graduation. At graduation he decided to follow in the footsteps of generations before him and join The United States Air Force.
His Air Force journey led him to Texas where he would meet the love of his life Patty in 1990. They resided in Texas with their newly blended family until 1996. In 1996 they moved to Arizona and continued creating beautiful memories for another 26 years.
Jon was an avid Harley and Ford lover as well as a dedicated Veteran. He enjoyed going to his grandsons sports activities and was over the moon to watch his granddaughter in her first dance recital last May. If you knew Jon, you knew he never slowed down. He spent a lot of his spare time “working” at his second home, good old Home Depot. He would grow many new friendships and everyone loved him there. He was always positive, loved helping customers, and always had an answer to questions.
His nickname growing up was “Jumper” as he was always known to start a project and jump to a new one before finishing the last one. If you really knew him you know he had many “projects” and never knew what he’d be working on. He always had a positive outlook on life and cracked jokes whenever he had a chance. His favorite line when his kids or grandkids would ask “what are you doing” would be a “what does it look like, knitting a sweater”.
Jon is survived by his wife of almost 31 years and their beloved four legged pups at home. He is survived by his father Jon and (Diane). He is also survived by his children April (Danial), Heather, Meghan, Lila, and Sammy. He is survived by his sister Donna and many nieces and nephews. He is lastly survived by his pride and joy, all 10 of his grandchildren who will dearly miss their “Papa” and will proudly carry on in his legacy. He is predeceased by his mother (Barbara) and sister (Michelle).
