Jim was born in Columbus, Ohio on July 20, 1968. Soon after graduating from Arizona State University with a B.S. in Marketing, he married his high school sweetheart, Tamisue Marie Rodden on April 20, 1991.
Jim worked in the pharmaceutical industry at GlaxoSmithKline for almost 29 years and absolutely loved his job attaining the position of Field Vice President.
He was passionate about music, baseball, Ohio State Football “Go Bucks” and loved spending time with his friends and family.
He is survived by his wife and best friend, Tamisue Marie Heinl, son Christopher James Heinl, 27, daughter Rachel Christine Marie Freeman, 24, son-in-law Austin William Freeman, 26, son Joseph Thomas Heinl, 22, daughter Sarah Jeanne Marie Heinl, 17, parents Thomas Edward Heinl and Diana Heinl, mothers and fathers-in-law James and Vickie Rodden and Ken and Linda Weinstock, brother Russel Thomas Heinl, sister-in-law Ann Heinl and in-laws April and Brian Grivet, Somer Rodden, and Christopher Rodden. He also had 12 nieces and nephews and so many incredible friends.
Jim was kind, loyal, genuine, had a big heart, and could lighten any mood with his super sarcastic sense of humor. He was passionate about life and never took one moment for granted. Jim said before he died that because he started his battle with cancer at age 16, he felt grateful to have had 35 more years to live such an incredible life. Jim gave his all in everything he did and everyone who knew him are better for it and truly blessed. #heinlstrong
