Irene Beitler 85 passed away in the early evening of February 2, 2011 in Mesa, Arizona, at the home she shared with her daughter Sandy Goldsberry. Irene was born April 23, 1925 in Stafford County, Kansas. She married Franklin Jacob Beitler May 31, 1944 in Great Bend, Kansas. Irene was a homemaker and helped manage her husband’s successful trucking business in Hutchinson, KS. In Spring 1983 Irene and Frank retired to Mesa, Arizona to be near their daughter and granddaughter. In retirement Irene enjoyed bike riding, cooking, rummage sales and visiting with friends. She is survived by daughter Sandy Goldsberry, granddaughter Chanda Curiel-Miller, grandson in-law Dan Miller, brother Eugene and his wife Grace, three nieces and wonderful caregiver Tracy. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents Ralph and Maybell Metz-Abel. A memorial will be held Saturday, February 19th at Mariposa Gardens in Mesa, Arizona.
