Helen Sanders, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2013 at the age 84. She was born April 28, 1929 in St. Louis, Missouri to Norman and Josephine [Little] Dowdy. Helen attended Sumner High School in St. Louis. She worked as an operating room technician at Jewish Hospital in St. Louis before retiring in the late 1970’s. She was a member at Patterson Baptist Church for many years along with her family. Helen had many things in life that brought her enjoyment such as writing spiritual poetry and she would always be sure to tell a wonderful story from time to time. What brought her the most joy in life was her family. Helen is survived by her beloved children Tyrone Davis, Glenn Davis, Linda (Lloyd) Young, Mike (Audrey) Sanders and Nolan Sanders. She was also survived by numerous grandchildren nieces, nephew, cousin and friends. Helen was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Eddie L. Sanders. She will be truly missed.
