Franklin Daniel Leedy II, 63, of Scottsdale, Arizona, passed away peacefully while surrounded by his family on Monday, March 11, 2019 at Thompson Peak Medical Center. He began his retirement in Paradise much sooner than his family would have wanted, but we take comfort in knowing that he is with our Lord.
Frank was born October 18,1955 at the US Army Hospital in Pisa, Italy to G. Franklin and Arlene Leedy. He and his family moved to Arizona when he was in grade school and he grew up in Scottsdale. Frank went to Brophy College Prep and Coronado High School and graduated in 1973. He was married to Geri Mcnish from 1999 until 2011. He owned Precision Crating and Packaging from 1982 to 2001 and it was one of the biggest packaging companies for years. Later on, he started working for Starwood in the sales office and became a top producer within months and moved on to Shell Vacation Club for a couple years. For the past 6 years, Frank has loved working with a great team at Freedom Financial Network as a debt consultant. His favorite pastimes include racing motocross, playing in a band, golfing, watching football, and taking long motorcycle rides with his buddies. He loved being outdoors, the beach, and spending time with his daughters and grandsons whenever he could.
Frank is survived by his children, Shealyn Leedy and Kristin Porter (Nate Porter), sister Lara Leedy, grandsons Brock, Brody and Beckham Porter, and ex-wife Geri Leedy. He was preceded in death by his parents, G. Franklin and Arlene.
We will have a private family burial on Monday, March 18. All are invited to a celebration of his life on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 3:00 PM near his burial site at Green Acres Cemetery, 401 North Hayden Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85257.
