Effie Lenora Fitzhugh

Effie Lenora Fitzhugh, 83, from San Tan Valley Arizona, joined her eternal companion Gordon D., on October 9, 2022. Born on January 3, 1939 in Alamosa, Colorado, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon and her son-in-law, Michael S, Wilde. Effie will be lovingly remembered by her 4 children and their spouses, 18 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, her brothers and their spouses, nephews, and nieces.

Effie was a devoted lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She began playing the piano and organ for church services at a very early age, and continued to freely share her musical talents for nearly 60 years. She enjoyed teaching many students to play the piano and organ. Effie treasured the opportunity to share her many gifts and talents. Throughout her life she faithfully served in many other church positions. The depth of her selfless love and gracious heart was recognized and cherished by her many friends and family. Effie loved her family and went to great lengths to help them all feel loved, safe, and happy. She was a great friend to many.

Public Viewing is Sunday October 16, 2022 from 3:00-5:00 PM at Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park and Funeral Care at 400 S Power Rd. Mesa, AZ 85206.

Funeral services will be held at 1150 W Combs Rd, Queen Creek, AZ 85140 at 10:00 AM on Tuesday October 18, 2022.
