Edward George Fountain

Edward was born on March 31, 1936, in St. Anne, Illinois, to Edward G. Fountain and Mae (La Rosa) Fountain of Kankakee County, Illinois. Edward is survived by his wife, Nancy (Rothman) Fountain, whom he married June 24, 1978. They both graduated from Olivet Nazarene University, Bourbonnais, Illinois, in 1965. He also earned a Masters Degree from Olivet in 1974. Both were teachers. They made their home in Arizona in 1979.

Edward was an individual who was passionate about music from the 40’s. He started collecting LP’s in high school and continued with the newer media as the years passed. He loved taking trips to San Diego, California, and getting nautical souvenirs to decorate the TV room. In Illinois he taught a Sunday School Class and was a member of the Mason organization that helped him finance college.

Funeral services were held March 5, 2022, at the East Valley Free Will Baptist Church on Power Road in Mesa, Arizona. Pastor Mike Cash officiated at the ceremony. Burial was at Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park, 400 South Power Road, Mesa, AZ 85206.
