Doreen Schafer 62, of Mesa AZ passed away February 5, 2019. She was born October 26, 1956 in Watertown, NY to Donald E. and Sandra [Abare] Hermann. At an early age, Doreen and her family relocated to Westminster, CO where she attended Westminster High School; it was there that she met the love of her life, Monty J. Shafer. Doreen graduated from Westminster High School in June of 1974 and later that year, was married to Monty on her 18th birthday, October 26, 1974 and the two started their life and family together. She was all about family and the love she had for them, she was also a very kind person and would do anything for anyone; one of her favorite things to do was shopping, especially for others. Doreen is survived by her father, Donald Hermann; her beloved husband of 44 years, Monty Schafer; children, Nicole (Josh) Daniels, Nathan (Janine) Schafer and Noelle (John) Cho; her grandchildren, Amaya Cho, John Cho Jr., Joshua Cho, Shaylie Daniels and Beckett Daniels as well as her brothers, Douglas Hermann and Dale (Linda) Hermann and many nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed.
