Dallas was born on September 6th, 1965 to Richard and Penelope Eubanks in Foley, Alabama. After Dallas graduated from Green Mountain High School in 1983, he went on to study Journalism at Arizona State University. He was also a cadet in ASU’s Army ROTC. During his time at ASU, he met the love of his life, Lisa. The two were married on December 19, 1988.
During his Army career, Dallas served as Platoon Leader, Special Weapons Officer, Battery Commander, Detachment Commander, Division Plans Officer, Battalion Executive Officer, Brigade Fire Support Officer, Division Chief of Operations, and Tactics Instructor. He has deployed to fourteen countries, including two combat tours (Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom), and a peacekeeping tour (Bosnia).
In 2009, Dallas retired from the military and went on to begin a new career as a civilian. He worked as a Tactics instructor at the Command and General Staff College (CGSC) in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. In 2015, he was offered his dream job as a Scholarships and Enrollment Officer for ASU’s Army ROTC, where his career had originally started. Dallas was inducted into the Inaugural Class of the National US Army ROTC Hall of Fame in 2016. Then, in 2021 he was also inducted into the Inaugural Class of the ASU Army ROTC Hall of Fame.
Dallas was preceded in death by his father and mother. He is survived by his wife and soulmate, Lisa, his sister, Nancy, his daughters, Hannah (Jordan) of Lawrence, Kansas and Carrie (Jared), and grandson, Woodrow of Hiawatha, Kansas and many friends and extended family.
