I am so sorry to hear about Carol's passing.  She was such a wonderful woman!  I used to chat with her while swimming at the Y and then at EoS.  Due to switching EoS locations, I hadn't seen seen her in a few years but kept a lookout for her.  She was such neat lady and a devoted grandma.  I felt like I knew Caitlin, even though I never met her, based on Carol filling me in on Caitlin's adventures.  There is nothing Carol wouldn't do for Caitlin. Carol would beam when she talked about Caitlin!  Also, Carol was inspirational.  The way she kept swimming after her shoulder surgery and never gave up really helped me not to quit when I hurt my shoulder.  I kept thinking about her and it motivated me.  Carol was love incarnate and I am sorry the world no longer has her but I am thankful for the memories.

I’ve chosen this poem because Mrs. Carol was very dear to my heart ❤️…. She was loving, caring and understanding. The love she gave and the companionship we shared was delightful.. . Mrs. Carol Mann was an Angel that The Lord placed in my life. We’d have bible study everyday I worked, with Dr. David Jeremiah.. those were the most gracious moments when we shared daily devotions. God doesn’t make mistakes on who he puts in our lives, and I believe that God place me there with the Mann’s for spiritual wisdom and guidance . I thank you  Mrs. Carol for the times we laughed and shared stories about our families and life experiences…  you will always have a strong impact on my life, and you will always be in my heart, forever and ever you’re loved 💕.

I prefer to find the positive in a difficult situation and that is how I looked at meeting Carol and Rex. My path brought me into the Mann home in a caregiving roll and I was blessed to have that opportunity.  Carol accepted her diagnosis with grace and never stopped fighting the inevitable progression. Her daily exercise routine was a high priority, second only to her early morning walks to meet with friends and watch their dogs play. I loved hearing her childhood history and the stories of the many adventures she and Rex shared. Their love was special and enduring. I’d hear her at bedtime once she was settled into bed say “I love you” to him before drifting off to sleep. May you rest peacefully in Heaven Carol and enjoy all the MANY activities you love with ease. 

Rex, Cathy and Caitlin: Ray & I wish to extend out deepest sympathy to you all! We will always remember the fun times we had when we got together. Lots of laughs. The last time you were over for pizza at our house with several of our friends, we laughed so hard. She was a special lady!
Carol was one of the finest seamstresses I have ever seen and we love the beautiful elk quilt that is on our bed that she made for Ray and I for our 50th anniversary! And the lovely John Deere cross stitched pillow on our sofa, and the beautiful table runner and place mats...so many gorgeous things! She was amazing! I will miss our weekly talks on the phone.
We can only hope your many years of good memories will enable you to live with this sad loss!
