Carol May Kernan passed peacefully on Monday, January 20th. She was born in Big Falls, Wisconsin on August 7th, 1926 to Carl and Lillian Bovee. She married her husband John P. Kernan February 7th, 1948 and they had 3 children, Candace Ann, Michael and Mary Sue.
Carol is proceeded in death by her husband John P. Kernan, daughters Candace Clemans and Mary Sue. Parent’s Carl and Lillian Bovee, sister Donna Rustad, brother Douglas Bovee and twin siblings that passed at birth. She is survived by her son Michael Kernan and 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Carol was a registered nurse in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Phoenix, AZ. She retired in 1988 and spent her retired years traveling to Europe, Panama and Alaska. She enjoyed spending time with all her grand children over the years, taking piano lessons and volunteering her time with her church.
Funeral services will be held at Melcher Mortuary Mission Chapel & Crematory on Saturday, January 25th, 2020 at 9am. A viewing is scheduled at 830 am. Burial will follow services City of Mesa Cemetery at 10:30am.
