Ben Franklin, of Mesa, Arizona passed away, March 14, 2018 at his home with his family by his side. He was 90 years old, Ben was born in Abraham, Utah to John and Francis [Smith] Franklin. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy during World War II at the age of 17 before graduating high school. Upon his discharge from the Navy, he returned to school where he completed his high school education. Ben married the love of his life, Anna Ewing and together they raised two children, Brad and Mark. He worked for the Dept. of Agriculture for 32 years as a Surveyor, loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping and was an avid reader of mostly fiction novels. What was most important to Ben was his family, especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a kind and generous man who would drop anything he was doing just to help another. Ben was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Raleigh and Doyle; his sister, Dora Ann and in December 2017, his son Mark. He is survived by his loving wife, Anna Franklin; son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Carole Franklin; daughter-in-law Helen Franklin; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way.
