Shirley was a part of my life as a  boy growing up in Rand. She and Don both were members of the church I attended and Shirley cooked many meals alongside my mother for both members of the church and  monthly for anyone who wished to attend. My sincere condolences to the entire family. God Bless you all. 

I am very sorry to learn of your mother’s passing.  I didn’t know her for very long but in that short time she was a sweet lady.  I appreciated her contributions to the Lions Club fundraising programs.  Praying for God’s comfort for you all in the days and weeks ahead.

So sorry for your loss. We were neighbors in Rand for many years. Shirley was a very sweet person. She was always ready to help others.

 She's was a beautiful, kind lady. I so remember her being in the shop many years before Pete and Amber., Back when her husband used to cut my hair. Such a wonderful family.

Shirley was an amazing person to know. I remember the first time I was at her house as an adult. She asked I wanted a fried bologna sandwich. “I told her I would love one.” So I put my order in. Burnt to a crisp, cheese on the bologna. mustard on one side, mayonnaise on the other, lettuce, tomato,  a thick piece of onion all on toasted bread. She looked at me a little crazy as I ate the sandwich she made me.  She  asked, “how do you taste the bologna?”  I told her I hoped I did not. I am not a huge fan of bologna. 
We laughed , she told me later that she had other food I could have chosen to eat.
Shirley always made me feel welcomed and loved at her home and life. She was an amazing person to know. I will miss  her  so much. Please tell my favorite cousin I miss him as well.
