Oct. 5, 1965-Jan. 4, 2020
Bobby grew up in the Collettville neighborhood of Merritt giving him the foundation for some of the most colorful and entertaining stories that some people would ever hear. From the beginning Bobby loved his family and friends dearly and would stand up to anyone, no matter how big, to protect those he cared for. He was a lover of fun, good music, cars, and would jump on anything with a kill switch. Hard work and incredible work ethics were ingrained deeply into Bobby’s character.
After he finished an entry level trades course, he discovered his love to build and even spent that summer roofing. But, ever practical, he wanted to be able to fix his many vehicles himself and so got himself a job and apprenticeship at Dearborn Ford.
Bob soon met his first wife Lisa and quickly embraced the family life, marrying Lisa and welcoming her son Kevin into his life as his own. Bob and Lisa welcomed their baby girl Megan shortly after. As a young family they spent the years living and working in Merritt as well as several years in the Fernie and Sparwood communities where Bob developed friendships that he truly cherished and with whom he would
stay connected with until the end.
In 2008 Bobby met the love of his life, Yvonne, and began another phase in his life with her and his beloved new puppy Rocky. They would share a full life together spending as much time with friends and family as possible. He received his most precious gift ever with the arrival of his granddaughter Charlie.
In 2011 he accomplished his life long dream of opening his own mechanic shop and has been
successfully operating that as a family business for the last 9 years. Bobby strived everyday to live life to the fullest doing everything that he loved. He died doing exactly that.
Bob was predeceased by his brother Mike Geier, sister Stephonie and her husband Terry Williams, and by his father Bob Geier Sr.
He is survived by his loving wife Yvonne, his mother Vivian, sister Missy (Chris), brother Dan (Vicki), son
Kevin, daughter Megan (Clinton), granddaughter Charlie, and his dearly loved nephews and nieces.
