Twila had been a wonderful person, from the first time I met her I felt I already known her for a long time. Her words and laughter will be sadly misses by all of us.

In the tapestry of life, a thread now frayed,

Thank you for coming into my life.  I loved listening to your stories.  I learned that you brought a worldly influence upon Matty growing up & helped expand his mind & heart.   Years later, you would do the same for me.  

I’m so sad you didn’t get to meet your newest great grandchild,  our first child, Merritt.   But we will tell her of her most amazing great grandmother.  And you will still be with us in memory & stories retold with family this holiday season.

Thank you for showing me and many others that age is never an excuse for not living our best life; we age only when we stop enjoying life and living it to the fullest.

Twila, you were the most energetic woman I've ever met. I can just see your smiling face and hear your vibrant voice right there...I will certainly miss you. Thank you for inspiring me, you will always be in my heart.

Twila will be missed by all of us who knew her.  Her energy and enthusiasm were second to none.  She brought a genuine desire to get to know people and to assist in any way that she could.  

Her accomplishments as a speaker and as an exemplary, energetic Toastmaster are legendary.

My greatest moment to know you, Twila. I feel so thankful because you just like my sister's guardian angel. You also shared the good things with me. Once again thank you for everything.

Twila Stout- just saying that name out loud brings a smile to my face. What made you so unique?  First, you were one of the only people that I continuously asked to help and you continuously said yes.  Your energy was contagious. It just brought me up and put me in a different place.  You always had ideas you contributed,  you lead, you could sit back and watch,  you could just be in a meeting. Wherever you were, you helped others reach or exceeded their potential.  You were a great storyteller and adventure seeker. My favorite story is when you traveled virtually to Bahrain and won the belly dancing contest.  At the time you were in your early 80s.  Love you so much

When I went to my first Sunrise Toastmasters meeting there was something very familiar about Twila but I couldn’t figure out how I should know her. I recall her stepping right up to me, asking me if I had a mentor and taking another step closer to ask if I wanted one. I replied “Yes?”  Then she took one step closer and batted her eyes and asked who would you like to choose as your mentor. I responded “You?”
That was the beginning of 15 years of friendship, mentoring, love, laughter, mutual support, feeling like family and sharing each other’s burdens and celebrating each other’s joy. I finally figured out why Twila looked so familiar the day we met. Twila had worked at the Merced Library as a young woman and read to children in the basement of the historic library. I was one of those children. Later Twila mentioned that she had worked at Valley Drug Store and then I recalled picking up medications there from a smiling vivacious young woman who worked behind the counter. That was Twila. We were destined to become close friends and though we are temporarily separated, I know we will be permanently celebrating our ultimate reunion one day in heaven. I was blessed to have you as one of my closest friends dear Twila. You are loved and always will be!

Love surrounds us, and it's astonishing how our friendship has blossomed into a deep connection of the heart. Last year, I grappled with uneasy emotions as she underwent surgery. This year, she was absent from our Toastmasters meeting, sparking my concern. I reached out to her daughter, only to learn, with a heavy heart, that she passed away.
I will miss your laugh, your jokes, your energy,  joy, you were always there to cheer me and celebrate me. 
Even though we were apart, I can feel your hug, and with word, everything will be alright, all will pass on.
We have many plans, but we haven't gotten a chance to hug each other, we haven't visited Yosemite Park, 
who will be my matchmaker, who will interview my boyfriend now?

I lost someone that always listen to all my story, put comment on my post and celebrate my achievements. 
you always there and cheer me up, when i missed my mom, you will lifted up my mood.

I always met Twila in  zoom, she is full of energy and positivity, she was one of the unique person i ever met.

Twila and I worked at the library and we had the same initials.   She they called her the Big TS and I was the Little TS!  She was great to work with and had the best stories.   She was so active in organizations and house sitting and everything, I loved to hear about it all.  She will be missed!!

Mrs.Twila was my neighbor my whole life I moved to Merced when I was 3 and now I am 21 she was the most sweetest lady I have ever met always had a smile on her face and always wanted to spread positivity she would always tell me if you ever want to take a vacation anywhere in the world just read a book and you will be wherever you want to visit I love you forever Mrs.Twila FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS❤️❤️❤️
